Male Multi-Coloured Phintella are small, usually 4.4 to 6.3 mm long, with one measured at 4.70 mm total length (carapace 2.30 mm long, 1.80 mm wide). They live in a range of habitats such as limestone forests from sea level up to about 300 m elevation. The species was first described from Bintan Island, Indonesia, and is now found across tropical Southeast Asia.

How to recognize it
The spider is easy to spot by its abdomen, which has a dark central band flanked by white (yellow in life) lateral bands, the opposite of most related species.
